From May 28th to 30th, the vibrant city of Valencia, Spain, became a hub for scientific exchange and innovation as it hosted the 7th Conference of Young Researchers in Colloids and Interfaces. The event brought together early-career scientists, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students from across Europe and beyond, providing a dynamic platform to present their latest findings and foster collaboration in the fields of colloid and interface science.
Among the many notable presentations, Carla Álvarez stood out with her insightful talk titled “Dual-Method Synthesis of PCL Systems for Targeted Drug Delivery.” Her research, which is part of the IN-ARMOR project (Grant Agreement No. 101080889), explores advanced strategies for developing polymer-based drug delivery systems with enhanced targeting capabilities.
The IN-ARMOR project, funded under the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme, supports interdisciplinary research at the intersection of materials science, nanotechnology, and biomedicine. Presentations like Álvarez’s highlight the project’s commitment to fostering innovative solutions to current healthcare challenges.
