BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANIZATION

Karolinska Institutet is the largest university in Sweden for research and education in the medical area. The Bergman-group is located in ANA Futura, a brand new research facility at the southern campus in Stockholm. We have access to state-of-the-art methodology in the biomedical science area.

WHAT IS YOUR ROLE IN THE PROJECT?

We will evaluate the new compounds in two different models. The first one is a cellular infection model in human macrophages, where we can infect cells with various microbes, including MDR bacteria. In addition, we have established a model in zebrafish, where we can test the new compounds for immunological and microbiological effects.
